A random update

Salam to all… (if u reached this page after so much abandonement that I have done to this blog, then u’re definitely a stalker, haha)

Alhamdulillah I am nearing the end of my Paediatrics posting which is actually my 3rd posting. So it almost a year now that I have become a houseman, a medical personnel accountable to his own actions even though no so much like an MO would. It definitely has been a very steep learning curve for me so far. One year has really taught me a lot.

I’ve learned that as a working adult sometimes you tend to splurge irresponsibly on unnecessary stuff while you got some hutang and bills to settle. And as a working adult, you work in an environment with colleagues that come in different shapes and colors and behavior as well. Here’s when the golden rule of life~ to always treat others the way you want to be treated cannot be stressed enough and I found it deeply disturbing when you find HOs eating up/back stabbing other HOs for stupidly unnecessary office politics. Stupid because we don’t even have an office to begin with.

Alhamdulillah whatever things that is making me stressed out at work would always fade away when I go back to a place now I can call home. Such is the blessing and beauty and mutmainnah (serenity and peace) you find in in a lawful marriage.

A lot of things could happen at work. So much so that sometimes you can become to preoccupied with work that you would bring the stress to home. I wonder why people waste so much energy and emotions on things that  you know is only temporary and do not even bring happiness to you.

Sometimes you know and you have it deep down inside you that work is only a tool to achieve greater things and purpose for which we human beings are created. Yet the way we act at work brings us to totally the opposite. Work and the intangible illusion of happiness that you thought you can have when performing well at work has made us forget the real meaning of life.

Do we really live to be entertained? —

It’s a sad sad world out there.

I miss the travelling and the really close friendship and camaraderie that one enjoys from the members of the same travelling group. This was taken in Salzburg, Austria.
